Adventure Spring, Summer & Fall
 With the Madawaska River and Algonquin Provincial Park right at your
doorstep you can choose from a variety of activities to help you enjoy
your stay. Take an exhilarating kayak or canoe adventure down the Madawaska
River which opens up to Rapid Bay Lake. Rapid Bay Lake is a 5 km long remote wilderness lake.
For those who
enjoy mountain biking take an extended ride down the abandoned railway
bed. The railway line is adjacent to our property and goes on forever,
you can even do a 40 km circle tour if you come back along Hwy 60 from
the town of Madawaska.
Kayaks or canoes can be rented at Opeongo Outfitters (opeongo outfitters will deliver to Adventure Lodge).
 If you are an equestrian at heart, for a small fee Adventure Stables houses its own horseback riding facilities. These stables are a
5-minute drive from the lodge. Reservations are through Couples Resort at 613-637-2662.
 Hikers take note of exceptional trails in this Algonquin Area. Two
friends were here last summer for a week and did 90 km of different
hiking trails; nature doesn't’t get any closer than this. See www.algonquinpark.on.ca and click onto their trails links for all the great trails. If you
don’t want to drive, the abandoned railway line at our doorstep, is
exceptional for exploring by foot, also consider simply taking a stroll
into the town of Whitney itself.
